Services

There are currently two services on Sunday morning when we gather together as a people before the Lord to worship Him, to hear his word afresh and to pray. To pray is to be with God.

The 9.30 am service is family oriented, lively, topical and interactive with communion included once a month. In school term time we also run the Sunday school "Deep C Divers" when the kids go out about 5-10mins after the service has started for their various activities (games, bible stories, fun, sticky stuff and maybe even some glitter!) and rejoining towards the end of the service. There is usually a creche for the very little ones too which is in the glass fronted room which looks out on the main worship area. We aim to finish the service at about 10.30am (ie roughly an hour long)

Once a month this service is also a parade service when we have the Scouts and Guides in as well (these are the groups affiliated with St.Cuthbert's that meet here at church during the week - namely 15th Preston Rainbows, Brownies, and Guides - 5th Preston Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts - and the Indiana Explorer Scout Unit)

Tea & biscuits are provided in the hall after every 9.30am service - and I can particulary recommend the superb coffee too!

The 11.00 am service is a quieter more reflective service and uses more traditional forms of worship and usually includes Holy Communion

During the Easter and Christmas periods and occasionally at other times there will be additional special services AND ALSO THE TIMES OF THE REGULAR SERVICES MAY VARY SUCH AS HAVING A COMBINED SUNDAY MORNING SERVICE AT 10.30AM INSTEAD OF THE TWO SEPARATE ONES. Please check our calendar or our weekly "Pewsnews" pamphlet given out every Sunday.

(For those of you who understand the jargon: the 9.30am follows Common Worship Order 1 for Communion; with other services using a Service of the Word framework. The 11am service is either Morning Prayer or Holy Communion Common Worship Order 1)
