St.Cuthbert's Church of England Fulwood Preston 01772 719710
St. Cuthbert's is a Parish Church of England located in Fulwood Preston Lancashire. It is a lively church in the heart of a community which is regenerating with increasing amounts of affordable housing.
The church has an established history of openness in worship and a strong focus on clear biblical teaching.
The services on a Sunday aim to provide worship options for everyone. The 9.30am service is family oriented, lively, topical and interactive. The 11.00am service attracts worshipers seeking the more traditional anglican service. At the 6.30pm service, the evening worship is often complimented with teaching, reflection and praise.
We try to blend traditional and modern music in our services. We have a range of gifted musicians and singers to lead and help in each service.
The Church's prayer life is of vital importance. Everyone is encouraged to both offer and receive prayer for the people and the issues of the day, both locally and internationally.
During the week across the fellowship, house groups meet to study the bible, learn and grow in Christ. It is a great way to get to know people and make friends too. If you come to the church, joining a house group is highly recommended!
About us..
For children and young people there are a range of options. At the services and mid week there are creche and toddlers groups. For the younger age groups there is the Deep C Divers which combines Sunday activity and learning with mid week activities and fun. Young People meet in the Crucible Group during Sunday morning services, where relevant and topical Christian issues are addressed.
Rainbows, Brownie, Guides, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorer Scouts all operate from the Church throughout the week. On the 2nd Sunday in a month we have a full parade service and the church is usually full to the brim.
Children & Young People..
As we reshape our church we recognise that the traditional format and activities in church need to grow and develop to better meet the needs of our local community. For example, a local tenant's association uses the church hall to meet. We are actively profiling the local population and its challenges to see what services ought to be provided from the new church buliding for people with disabilities, older people and families. If you think you have something to contribute then please come along and talk to us.
